SELF-BRANDING

BRAND IDENTITY

CLIENT:

Rhiannon Lopusansky

BRAND:

RHISKY

OVERVIEW:

For my self-branding project, I wanted to create a fun and playful narrative, illustrating a surreal picture of the inner workings of my creative mindset and the little workers that help to keep it ticking. Something that not only showcases who I am as a designer but also showcases my skill set, style, and personality.

 THE PROBLEM:

  • My brand RhiSky is an amalgamation of my first and last names, coming together to create something new. It needs to reflect the individuality of each while remaining singular.

  • Create a distinctive personal band that establishes and reinforces my style and personality.

  • Create an illustrated portrait and mini-me characters as part of the narrative.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

Strong Identity, Playful, Showcases Skillset/Personality, Creative, Graphic/Illustration, Stand Out, Bold

THE SOLUTION:

I took an imaginative and whimsical approach to my self-portrait, illustrating the inner workings of my creative mindset and the little workers that help to keep it ticking. That fanciful and whimsical approach is also carried throughout the brand, reflecting the uniqueness of both RHI and SKY while remaining cohesive. For the colour palette, I chose a monochromatic colour scheme to create a striking visual cohesiveness throughout the brand. For the logotype, I customised the Beloved script font for the RHISKY logotype for its fun and distinctive character and handwritten style.

REQUIREMENTS:

Branding & Identity, Business Collateral, Illustration - Self Portrait, Illustration - Mini-Me Characters, Web Design/icons

The first word in the phrase, “personal brand” is “personal.” Now add an “ity” to it, drop the “brand” and that’s what it really means. That’s the secret.
